May also provides supervision for mental health professionals who (1) want to stay vitally and effectively engaged in their profession and (2) want to learn more about reflective practice, functional contextual approaches, and psychological principles.
Senior Psychologist, Clinical
Greg is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings. He has extensive experience working with clients with PTSD, as well as working with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Greg believes the most important aspect of any therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Greg works with adults.
Sonja helps adults and older adults with issues such as self esteem, assertive communication, bereavement, and rediscovering their passion and direction. Sonja works from a bio-psycho-social perspective, with a focus on how the nervous system responds to perceived threat. Sonja has an interest in schema therapy.
Chantel uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to work with children and adults with anxious presentations such as social anxiety, perfectionism, disordered eating related to anxiety, and obsessions and compulsions related to fear. Chantel also provides psychometric assessment for children and adults to clarify a range of issues including intellectual functioning, adaptive functioning, diagnostic considerations, and recommendations for support.
Brigitte helps adults undergoing rehabilitation in managing their depression, anxiety, and pain. She also works collaboratively and calmly with children and adults to maintain good mental health. Brigitte is passionate about psychological service access for small communities.

Kevin provides person-centered counselling to men who are dealing with stress, chronic health issues, and anxiety and low mood. Kevin helps his clients talk through their issues and develop healthy life habits. As an allied health assistant, Kevin works with children with autism.
Mental Health Peer Support Worker
Ben volunteers to improve mental health for young ADF veterans in transition from service life to civilian life. Ben developed a resource for veterans living in Hervey Bay. This brochure is a starting point for finding a supportive and knowledgeable health team that work with veterans and have some understanding of the DVA.
